According to a Religious Landscape Study (RLS) from Pew Research, 62% of Americans claim they are Christian. As many people already know, this number is down from what it was 10 or 15 years ago, but what I find interesting is when you compare that number to the numbers regarding bible reading.
The American Bible Society reported that 41% of Americans read the bible at least three times a year. Combining all this information together would result in concluding that at least one third of Americans who claim to be Christian read their bible fewer than three times a year.
That is a remarkably sad figure. You should probably close my blog and read your Bible if it’s been over four months.
